DESK-BASED WORKS

Ongoing field data processing of geological exploration materials is carried out directly under field conditions. It includes the following:

1. Adjustment and/or preparation of the geological map of the deposit.

2. Preparation of surface sampling plans at scales of 1:200 and 1:500 based on the results and documentation of trenches and mechanical cuts, respectively.

3. Preparation of geological logs for drilled boreholes.

4. Preparation of consolidated geological cross-sections along exploration profiles, primarily based on drilling data.

5. Systematic updating of working versions of geological cross-sections and plans as drilling, cut excavation, and trenching progress.

6. Prompt plotting and incorporation of analytical results.

7. Calculation of the spatial position of borehole trajectories based on inclinometry data.

8. Processing of geophysical well logging (GWL) results.

Final desk-based processing of the materials is carried out at a permanent office facility. A complete set of graphical, tabular, analytical, and textual information is compiled in both hard-copy and electronic formats in accordance with methodological requirements necessary for the preparation of the final report, including mineral reserve estimation, and its submission to the State Commission on Mineral Reserves of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKZ KR) for review.

During the final processing of fieldwork results, considerable time and resources are spent on converting information into electronic format, including the creation of databases based on field materials, digitization of the original topographic data and working geological graphics, and other related activities.

The work also includes the preparation of annual information reports and annual programs for field geological works.

The purpose of the annual geological fieldwork program is to develop a compact and mobile information package containing textual and graphical geological, geochemical, geophysical, and mining-geological information, which expands and updates the information base in accordance with the results obtained during the preceding field season. The Program is used to ensure the targeted and efficient execution of all types of fieldwork independently of stationary information sources.

The final stage of the desk-based work is the preparation of a mineral reserve estimation report and its review and approval by the State Commission on Mineral Reserves of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKZ KR).
